Computers FOR Development is a Dutch based foundation aimed at promoting the use of refurbished computers and other hardware for sustainable development through the use of ICT in education. Our mission is to share the technology of rich western countries with people in the least developed countries.

How can you participate?

Computers FOR Development has expanded its activities to brokering, skills development and business development. With our experience and network in African countries we can offer you very interesting opportunities.

Africa as a serious business partner
Africa is full of entrepreneurs. Countries such as Kenya are full of highly educated young people that are extremely motivated to use their talents. Africa has a growing consumer market. This makes Africa an attractive region to set up business. Computers FOR Development helps Dutch ICT-companies to get to know potential business partners in Africa. To do business together and to learn from each other.

Exploring new markets
The boom of outsourcing of technical support centres to developing countries is an example of new markets that we're involved in. A pilot project in 2008 looked at the feasibility of implementing such centres in Kenya together with our partners Dawn and NTS Computers Technologies BV.

Corporate social responsibity
Maybe your company is looking for opportunities in corporate social responsibility. With our contacts in African countries we can help you create those opportunities. You might want to be involved in our projects, by sharing your skills and knowledge. Or maybe you'd like to make financial contributions or donate computers. Computers FOR Development can connect you to projects or companies that suit perfectly to your company's profile.
