130 PCs have been shipped to Uganda for use at Brosdi centre. This was for a pilot on deployment of Open source applications for use by target audience.

The practice at Brosdi centre will be shared with other projects to expand the knowledge and use of open source software as this is a cost effective way of eventually maintaining the PCs with no licence fees involved.

BROSDI, standing for: Busoga Rural Open Source and Development Initiative is a poverty reduction targeting NGO working in the Busoga region and beyond since 2003 until to date.
